This Privacy Policy describes how Jaat collects, uses, processes, and shares your personal
information when you access or use our website, mobile applications, and services
(collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your
data transparently and securely. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use
of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect
We collect various types of information from and about you to provide and improve our
Services, facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers, and ensure a secure and
personalized experience.

1.1. Information You Provide Directly to Us
• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, and possibly your phone number. For sellers, we may collect additional business information, such as your store name, business address, and tax identification number.
• Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information for your profile, such as a profile picture, biography, social media links, and preferences.
• Transaction Information: When you make a purchase or sale through our Services, we collect information related to the transaction, including payment details (e.g., credit card number, billing address, PayPal information - though we typically use third-party payment processors), shipping address, order details, and contact information of the buyer/seller.
• Communications: If you communicate with us directly, such as through customer support, emails, or chat, we collect the content of those communications and any information you provide.
• Content You Submit: This includes reviews, comments, forum posts, product listings (including descriptions, images, and pricing), and any other content you create or upload to the Services.
• Surveys and Promotions: If you participate in surveys, contests, or promotions, we collect the information you provide in response.

1.2. Information We Collect Automatically
• Usage Information: We collect information about your interactions with our Services, such as the pages or listings you view, the searches you conduct, the features you use, the time and date of your visits, and the referring URL.
• Device Information: We collect information from and about the devices you use to access our Services, including IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and crash data.
• Location Information: We may collect approximate location information (e.g., from your IP address or device settings) to provide location-based services, such as showing products available in your region or tailoring search results. You can often control this through your device settings.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activity, remember your preferences, personalize your experience, analyze trends, administer the website, track users' movements around the website, and gather demographic information about our user base. 1.3. Information from Third Parties
• Payment Processors: We work with third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to facilitate transactions. These processors collect and process your payment information directly and may share with us non-sensitive information about your transactions (e.g., transaction ID, amount, status).
• Social Media: If you log in or connect your Jaat account through a third-party social media service (e.g., Facebook, Google), we may receive information from that service, such as your profile information, public name, email address, and friend list, depending on your privacy settings on that service.
• Analytics Providers: We receive data from third-party analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics) that help us understand how users interact with our Services, which may include demographic data and browsing behavior.
• Marketing Partners: We may receive information from marketing partners, such as advertising networks, to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to deliver more relevant ads to you.

Jaat Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Jaat! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Jaat's Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. We may update Terms; continued use means acceptance.

2. Eligibility and Accounts
• You must be of legal age/capacity in your jurisdiction.
• Keep registration info accurate; safeguard your password; notify us of breaches.
• OTP may be required for verification.

3. Marketplace Overview
• Jaat connects Buyers and Sellers; we are not a party to the contract of sale.
• Seller responsibilities: lawful items, accurate listings, order fulfillment, compliance with laws, customer service.
• Buyer responsibilities: review listings/policies, provide accurate info, be respectful, comply with laws.

4. Payments, Payouts, Fees, Taxes
• Payments via third-party processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal); their terms apply.
• Payouts may be withheld for suspected fraud, disputes, or violations.
• Fees: listing, commissions, platform fees as disclosed; taxes are Seller's responsibility.

5. Prohibited Conduct/Content
• No illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or rights-infringing activity.
• No malware or attempts to disrupt/abuse Services.

6. Intellectual Property
• Service content belongs to Jaat/partners.
• User Content license: non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable, transferable, for Service operation/promotion.

7. Disputes
• Buyer-Seller disputes: resolve directly; Jaat may step in at discretion.
• Disputes with Jaat: binding arbitration (or small-claims where eligible); no class actions; IP injunctions allowed in court.

• Services are provided "as is".
• No liability for indirect/consequential damages; limitations to the extent permitted by law.
• You agree to indemnify Jaat for claims arising from your use, content, or violations.

10. Termination
• Jaat may suspend/terminate for any breach; you may close your account (data deletion is permanent).

11. Force Majeure
• Performance excused for events beyond reasonable control, excluding negligence/intent/funds issues; duty to mitigate; notify promptly.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
• As provided; you consent to applicable jurisdiction for litigation where permitted.

13. Miscellaneous
• Entire agreement; severability; waiver; assignment terms.

Jaat Seller Forum Guidelines

Purpose
• Knowledge sharing, peer support, feedback, networking, announcements.

Conduct & Etiquette
• Be respectful and professional; no harassment or bullying; avoid profanity/offensive language; respect privacy.
• Stay on-topic; use proper categories; avoid cross-posting.
• No spam or excessive self-promotion; no affiliate links; report spam.

Content Guidelines
• Respect IP; no plagiarism.
• Prohibited: illegal, malicious, defamatory, false/misleading, divisive politics/religion unrelated to selling, policy circumvention.
• Provide accurate info.

Moderation
• Moderators enforce guidelines; decisions are final.
• Report violations; do not self-moderate.
• Consequences: content removal, suspensions/bans, account actions.

Disclaimers
• User-generated content; no legal/financial/tax advice; Jaat may modify or discontinue the forum.

IP License
• By posting, you grant Jaat a broad license to use/display content for operating and improving Services.

Jaat Prohibited Items Policy

Effective June 2025

Zero-Tolerance
• No items promoting hatred or violence; no unlawful items

Enforcement & Agreement
• Opening a shop/placing ads implies agreement to policies; Jaat may deactivate content or suspend/terminate accounts; notice generally provided except for severe cases

Categories (non-exhaustive)
• Animal products/human remains: no endangered species (per CITES Appendix I), no ivory; limited exceptions for human teeth/hair/nails when legal and hygienic
• Recalled items: prohibited
• Hate/violent items: prohibited; firearms/knives only for lawful purposes (hunting/sport/collecting), not to cause harm
• Illegal/highly regulated: illegal/stolen items prohibited; comply with licensing/age restrictions; regional restrictions may apply
• Counterfeits/unauthorized goods: prohibited, including upcycled items implying endorsement
• Personal information/government documents: prohibited unless sold by issuing authority
• Mature adult content/nudity: no pornography; no sexualization of minors; no non-consensual acts/bestiality
• Glorifying human tragedy/suffering: prohibited (historical wartime items allowed if not promoting hate/violence)
• Encouraging self-harm/misinformation: prohibited
• Concealed/banned weapons: prohibited

Reporting
• Report non-conforming items/users to Jaat for review

Third-Party Processor Disclaimer
• External processors (PayPal, Stripe, etc.) may block transactions per their compliance

Updates

Jaat Behavioural Policy

Scope & Purpose
• Applies to all interactions (site, apps, messages, forums); promotes respect and positive engagement

Fees & Marketplace Commissions

General
• Fees exclude VAT or similar taxes; all service fees (including prepaid) are non-refundable

5.1 Shop & Classified Listing Fees
• Listing fees vary by category/duration; editing active listings is free
• Auto-renewals may apply (e.g., $0.25 per sold item/download for certain listings)

5.2 Automatic Renewal of Listings
• Auto-renew until canceled; manage under Renewal Options per listing

5.3 Marketplace Commissions
• 5.5% on the total displayed price (item + shipping + additional listed charges); includes applicable taxes you are responsible to collect
• Deducted at point of sale; appears immediately in statements/wallet

5.4 Currency Conversion
• Conversions may include a small margin; rates updated frequently; earnings converted at prevailing rate at payout if currencies differ

Schedule (Excerpt)
• Digital downloads (single-instance): $1 per download
• Digital music/video downloads: $0.45 per download
• Vehicles, heavy equipment, property categories: tiered fees for 30/90/120 days and 1 year

Note: Sellers may incur separate payment processing fees from their selected processor (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, Visa).
